Colorado Snow Storm December 2006

We had a bit of a storm in Colorado, which ended up dumping 33" of snow in about 24 hours. (5700 people apparently spent the night at the Denver airport, and both interstates across Colorado were closed nearly border-to-border.) Heidi and I went out skiing through the streets of Boulder at night. The only car we saw in the course of an hour was a single Subaru, towing a skier down the hill for extra speed.

I'd had the new winter tent set up in the yard for a couple of days and I'd managed to convince Heidi to sleep in it with me for the past three nights. This night we had to dig out the tent, but managed to do so and still sleep pretty warmly. Woo-hoo!
